MFS High Yield Municipal Trust's Board approved revisions to its investment objective and policies on December 21, 2007, shifting from a primary focus on high current income exempt from federal taxes with secondary total return to emphasizing high current income while considering capital appreciation. The changes eliminate certain investment percentage limits, permit up to 100% allocation to lower-quality debt, and remove derivatives restrictions, granting the manager greater flexibility in tax-exempt bonds and notes.
